I want to make a smoothie using an apple because I never have before. What are the best fruits to have in your smoothie that go with an apple?

APPLE SMOOTHIE
2 Gala or Yellow Delicious apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
1 cup apple juice
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
3 cups vanilla frozen yogurt
Place all the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.
APPLE STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE
1 Gala or Golden Delicious apple - peeled, cored and chopped
1 pint fresh strawberries, washed and hulled, or 1 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries
1 cup strawberry yogurt
2 tablespoons sugar
6 - 8 ice cubes
Place all the ingredients in the blender. Process on high speed until the ice is completely crushed and the drink is smooth and creamy.

APPLE-APRICOT SMOOTHIE
Categories: Beverages, Fruits
Yield: 2 servings
1 Apple, Golden Delicious
-peeled, cored & chopped
1 c Apple juice
4 Apricots, fresh;pitted
-skin optional
1 Banana; peeled
3/4 c Yogurt, plain
10 -Ice cubes, up to 12 cubes
1 tb Honey
Place all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth.
Serves 2-4 Preparation time: 5 minutes

You need to add some citric acid. Lemon is often used but often doesn't complement the taste. I would suggest you squeeze half a lime into the smoothie - lime and pear is marriage made in heaven. Grapefruit is also great.
