i went through this with my son..... he went with his dad... he didnt want to hurt my feelings either.... in fact, his dad told me first and i went to my son to confirm it.... i was broken hearted..... but i let him go.... i love my son very much..... and as much as it hurt to see him go with his dad, i knew i had to... it had to be his choice.... i told him if he ever changed his mind, he was more than welcome to come back....
just tell her you love her and you dont want to hurt her, but you want to live with dad.... (no matter how you say it, it's gonna hurt her anyway.... but moms are very forgiving... their hearts are big... :)

A parents job is to do what is best for their child. So you as a child need to let your mom in on your feelings. It will hurt for awhile but time heals. Also your parents really need to sit down and talk about what is really best because sometimes appearances can be deceiving. You may think that being with your dad is best for you but it might not be best for your dad.

Make a list of reasons why living with your dad would be better for you. Sit both your parents down and go over the list. Don't forget to give some good reasons to live at your moms either, it'll make her feel good to know you concidered both places. Your mom will be happy with whatever you decide is best... just don't move to one place and forget about the other parent.

If going with your dad IS the best decision then take it. Your mother may try and make you think otherwise and she will of course be sad that you're leaving. But don't force yourself to live with someone who isn't the best choose. Do what's right, and tell your mom that you love her even though you must leave.

Just be honest with your mom. She is an adult and she will understand. Just let her know that you love her very much but that you think it's best for you to be with your Dad right now. She might be upset - but I'm sure she will understand.

i think you should tell the truth, between two people one has to get hurt. and if your mom loves you , she will understand, and just told her that you also love her a lotl, is just a decision that you are making that you wanna stay with your dad. and that you will miss her and no matter where you are you will always be with her...

You have to do what is best for you. All you can do is talk to your mother and explain why this is best for you. Make plans to stay in touch with her and do things on a regular basis so she stays an important part of your life and you a part of hers. When you make plans with her keep them and treasure the time you have together.

i think you should tell your mom you want to stay with your dad but if she cries then tell your dad to let you visit her but say it nicely so he could say yes or he says maybe you might get a chance so just ask him .
