I have a Panasonic KX7GA242W. Works fine, good battery life if it's off the charger. I could use more volume on the ring, but then, I'm losing my hearing.

uniden 5.8 ghz are great phones. i use uniden with an integrated land line answering machine and have 2 satellite cordless phones in my house.
the cordless phones have an internal antenna which means they are great if you are laying down on the couch or in bed as the antenna isn't getting in the way.
uniden is a great bang for your buck. better than the really cheap phones but you're not paying Sony prices. 5.8 ghz makes for crystal clear reception.
i would tell you my model number but is over a year old now and no longer available but know they have similar setups available now.
