You get admitted to the ICU. They hold you overnight for observation, during which you're not aloud to drink anything. Then ever 5 hrs or so they take a blood test to see how much of the drug has entered your blood stream.

Sometimes they pump your stomach as soon as you get to the hospital. There's not much else they can do.

Yuck, I was in the ER, when the person in the next cubicle came in with an OD. they pumped out her stomach, they stuck a big tube up her nose and down to her stomach and attached a pump to it and literally pumped out the contents of her stomach. I'm sure they gave her tons of medicine to conteract what she took, but she was not feeling too good about what they were doing to her.

actually, it depends on if it's an uper, a downer, or a hallucinigen. they either bring you back up or back down or back out of the trip. they usually pump your stomach for pills, which hurts like all holy hell.
