Of course, the technology has probably improved, in the last 4 years. Still, I remain skeptical about prospects that an automated system might be reliable; not generating false matches nor mismatches.

I can speak for the biometric sold by ADP with the Enterprise eTIME Time and Attendance system. It measures the ridges on a fingerprint and encodes the information for employee verification upon each 'punch'. The information stored cannot be reverse 'engineered' to provide a fingerprint, so it is secure
