Why do you want to know? The ACLU will not provide you with a list of its membership but you can start your own. My name is Bill Fields and I'll gladly be number one on your list. We strongly believe in protecting your constitutional rights.

I think that the number one misunderstanding of the ACLU is the idea that it is a governmental entity. It is a private group supported by its membership. They act as citizen advocates. What they do other citizens may also do. In fact there are other groups who disagree with the basic values of the ACLU that have formed to act as advocates for their favorite causes too.

Many members openly publish their names in major newspaper ads when the organization advocates for issues. I must admit that from what I reall their membership tends to be a rather stellar, giving/gifted group of people. I'd certainly be very proud to be in their company. If you're interested in supporting or joining the ACLU, just checkout their web site. Best wishes.
