My 8 year old son has been diagnosed with ADHD and my friend told me that instead of medication she had her son take fish oil that she bought from the health food store and said that it has worked miracles and he is improving greatly. I am reading great things about it online but i would like to know if any other parent has used this and what are the results??????

From what I appreciate, Seroquel is prescribed for Bi-Polar. You fairly will have to get a couple of opinion, specifically because your baby isn't fairly at the correct cure. I have three youngsters with ADHD. They are taking Concerta and Risperdal. Most youngsters want just a little aid from cure in order that they are able to hold their impluses to a minimal. Meds at the side of steady parenting and might be every other variety of treatment have very reputable outcome. ADHD is reasonably genetic, however meals and different matters can reason it to be more difficult to manage. I don't believe that I was once pressured to place my youngsters on meds. I do have a pediatrician who fairly listens to my matters. If the meds that your baby is on makes him/her zombie-like, then the dosage would possibly have to be adjusted. You would possibly pass by way of a number of changes in meds to start with, however be sufferer and be certain you provide lots of hugs, kisses, and confident reinforcement on your baby. Good Luck! God Bless You!

I'm an adult with Adhd, I have no idea what the oil could be:S but I am on a medicine called "Straterra". It's made a big change in my life(believe me, I can now tell when I don't take my med.) There are somethings to each individual, that no med can change though, sometimes you have to over look problems and accept people for who they are.

Not fish oil specifically. Research diet and ADHD. The findings are surprising and encouraging. (Teacher, 15 years)
