Jesus pbuh was a Jew. Jew in that century who follows the teachings of Moses, according to Muslim theology was a Muslim. Just as Moses was a Muslim, and his true followers would be.
The Gospel of John, chapter 5 verse 30 says,
John 5:30 "I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgement is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me."
A muslim is a person who submits his will to almighty God. Jesus says in this verse, ".......I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father ......"
I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father. If you translate into Arabic it means Islam. A person who follows Islam is called as a Muslim. So according to the bible Jesus Pbuh was a Muslim.
===========================
We should consider the fact not just the word. The fact is that Jesus preached to believe in one God. Jesus worshipped one True God. Jesus prayed to God( he even fell on his face and prostrated, bible - Matthew 26:39). Jesus preached ten commandments which are found in the teachings of Islam also. Jesus prohibited pork, wine, blood, dead meat or any food on which any name besides God has been taken. Jesus prohibited adultery, fornication. Jesus practiced circumcision (bible - Luke 2:21), Jesus greeted by saying "peace be on you" (Luke 24:36) same as muslims greet i.e. Assalamoalikum means peace be on you, and last but not least, he prohibits Shirk i.e. Associating partners with God almighty (bible Mark 12:29). So all these teachings are part of Islam. So Jesus was a muslim.

Jesus spoke Aramaic. In aramaic language,
ALAAHAA - - - - God

My Christian brethren says that nowhere Jesus mentioned the word Allah, Nowhere did he mentioned the word Islam. My response to that is very simple and straightforward. They have to consider the 'fact' not the 'word'. 'Islam' and 'Allah' are Arabic words. Jesus pbuh did not spoke Arabic. If for the sake of argument, we are considering just words only, then in this case Christians are themselves spreading Islam when they say that "Jesus came to spread peace on earth". If you translate the word 'Peace' into Arabic, It becomes 'Islam'. So now the statement would be "Jesus came to spread Islam on earth". I hope you get my point.
==========
The teachings of Christianity was never taught by Jesus. Jesus never said that "he is God". Jesus never said that he came to die for the sins of the world. what Jesus preached,, i mentioned above..
Christianity is to know who was the man Jesus Christ and follow his teachings. SO, WE MUSLIMS FOLLOW THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS PBUH. IF CHRISTIAN IS A PERSON WHO FOLLOWS THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS CHRIST PBUH AND NOT ONE WHO WORSHIPS JESUS PBUH. THEN WE MUSLIMS ARE MORE CHRISTIAN THAN CHRISTIANS THEMSELVES.
HOPE THIS ANSWERS.
QURAN (5:75) "Christ the son of Mary was no more than an Messenger; many were the Messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!"
PEACE BE ON YOU

Islam came into existed i with Mohammad. Anything else is a lie. Proof=History. Now if you want to say that certain people generally lived according to the teachings of Islam maybe that could fly but I seriously doubt it. Moses was a Jew, most of the Prophets were Jews and Jesus was a Jew. By the way the accepted definition of a Jew is one who follows Judaism.

Jesus was definitely Jewish.
You had better study history again, Islam actually came from Judaism. Muslims consider Moses, the great Jewish leader as one of their prophets too. However it wasn't until the 7th century that they received written instructions.
It is a shame that there is so much contention in the middle east since the Jews and muslims are brothers (Ishmael and Isaac, and Jacob and Esau.)

Jesus was a Jew! he lived in the Jewish community of Judea. Muslims didn't exist until 500 years later about 530 A.D. Actually Judaism is one of the oldest religions dating back to about 1800 B.C. So Abraham was one of the founders of Judaism along with his sons Isaac and Jacob.

Jesus Christ was born a Jew of Jewish parentage. He is the King of the Jews. Christians believe Jesus is the Messiah. Some people are still waiting for the Messiah to come and Muslims believe Jesus was just another prophet.

No, When Jesus was alive Islam was not in existence.
Prophet Mohommed is the one that gave birth to Islam in the 5th century A.D
That is like 500 years after Christ died.

You need to get your facts straight. Islam has not existed since Adam. Jesus is God, to the concept of him having a religion really doen't have any meaning. Basically, you are asking God what religion he subscribes to. He's God, he doesn't have to subscribe to himself.
