I just spent $200 trying to find out the same thing. It could be a bladder infection. That was my dogs case anyway.

Hi. It depends on how old she is? If she is a larger dog, and is getting upwards of 10 years, she could be getting incontinent. I have a male dog who is small, 12 years old, and I thought he was getting incontinent, but he's not... He needs to go out every 4 hours or so, and first thing in the morning. Ten hours is a long time to make anything "hold it".

She may have a bladder infection, or if her surroundings have changed or there are new people in the house, she may be having an emotional reaction. Your vet can diagnose this much better. There are lots of reasons why she's suddenly peeing in the house.

Dogs are prone to urinary tract and bladder infections. Especially small breed dogs. Or he could be rebelling against you for something. Have you recently moved, gotten a new pet, gotten rid of a pet, steamed the carpets, or changed anything around his household life?

Isn't there such a thing as dog diapers? Surely there must be! I've seen dogs with more clothes than I own (and I own a LOT of clothes) so I'd be highly surprised if diapers weren't available for them.

Still. That's not an answer to your question of course.

It depends on your dogs age and health.Had a 14 year old cat ,it was deaf and about blind ,then it started losing it's ability to control it's functions. We all get old or health problems. If it is young and you maoved to a new place it is marking it's territory.

It may be possible that another dog has been in yoiur house in the last few days. Your dog probably smells the other and needs to mark its territory.

The same reason my old grandmother started peeing on the floor. She's old and senile. Do what I did, put her down.

i think when most dogs start getting older they start getting weak blatters and can't hold it as well as they used to. The same thing happenes when trying to jump on things. There legs start getting weaker. I wouldn't worry too much about it. At least your dog deosn't have seagers because my dog does and believe me it hurts me every time he goes through one.

older dogs are more... helpless. They are slower to let you know if they have to go or maybe it's a bladder infection but my vote is for old age helplessness.
