how can i convince my mom.....?

im gonna b 17 in sept. and i will b a senior in high school and i want to get my belly button pierced...(because i like how it looks, its not for anybody else but for me)...well yea basically i asked her before and she said no but if she doesnt say yes this summer then i will get it done on my own with out her knowing but i just want to convince her to let me so that way i wont have to do it behind her back

help me to convince my mom please!

tell her that your seventeen now and your capable of making your own decisions. she should understand soon enough. the reason why she dosent want you to do it is because no parent wants their child getting their belly button pierced. you shouldn't do it behind her back though...tell her why you want your belly pierced, the pros and cons and stuff. good luck!

Since you're 17, you should be old enough, and belly button is piercing, is what you think will make you look cool? Gangster? Punk? If you do it your own, you will be in DEEP trouble if your mother finds out! If you want to convince her, let her see how responsible and mature you are, enough to get your belly button pierced, to be an individual. But if she disapproves, you should NEVER pierce until she says so, unless you are for sure that she will not mind, and if you pierce it without her knowing, she might tell you to take it off IMMEDIATELY!

I would just listen to your mom. If you don't know when you get pregnant your belly is going to stretch and then what's the whole point of having it it's just going to look nasty. Plus belly piercings say alot about a women. Ask a guy. GOOD LUCK!!!

why not just do it yourself? I did mine 5 years ago (omg i cant believe it has been that long ago) ...no seriously, sit down with her and talk about it but dont use the excuse "everyone else has one" Explain to her why you want it done and she may let you if you pay for it and put up a good arguement. Don't go behind her back and do it because trust me, she wil find out.

Do your research on it look up how its done and how to take care of it after its done. Show her what you want and tell her why you want it . I know how its done and it pretty easy to figure out but if you show her that you are researching it and show her that you are taking further steps to ensure that you are safe and she understands your wanting to get this she may just change her mind. I took this approach with my mom it worked ,it was a different subject but it worked.

You should respect your mother and do as she said. If she said no then she meant no. When you get on your own and you are paying your own bills then you can do what you want when you want but as long as you live at home you should respect her rules. Remember that the bible tells us to honor our mother and father so that our days on earth may be long. Once you are a mother yourself you will want you daughter or son to respect your rules. well i am 15 and wanted my nose pierced and my mom said no at first but then she saw like kelly clarkson who had one and how her nose ring was simple and cute and she realised it wasnt like a bad thing i wasnt doing because i wanted to be like rebelious or whatever.
so show your mom pictures of like kind of conservative or cute celebrites and stuff who have them and tell her youre not trying to be rebelious or skanky, you just think its cute. i dont know my mom just let me when she saw kelly clarkson had it so yeah.

if all else fails just say youlll get it done anyway and if she still doesnt let you then just do it anyway

well try actin more responsible(no offense!) but when i act more responsible like do my chores without her tellin me to and not arguing or fighting with my siblings its really makes her think im startin to mature more and she lets me get away with more stuff. or u could always get a job(if u already dont have one) and tell her u can buy it on your own. one of these are bond to work. or just try to comprmise with her like " if u let me get my bellybutton pierced i'll stop bothering u for........"! well first you have to win her trust that u won't do anythin that will hurt ur family in any way
then slowly(it takes time) convince her to get ur belly button periced
