That is tough. Unfortunately sometimes there really is no love in their heart. Sometimes we are too scared to express that. We feel vulnerable, we feel weak. Why?? Well it is because some crazy expectations that a man can not have feelings or emotions. Every person in this world does. Yes, there is the commitment thing as well, and that is society induced as well. It is thrown at men in such a fashion that if we think we love a girl and want to be with her the rest of our lives, we are weak, we should be running around trying to sleep with any and everything. I for one am tired of this nonsense. Real men have feeling and emotions and are not scared to let them show.

Love is a big word. When we tell a girl that it means that we have taken the relationship up a huge step. Sometimes we do it to protect you. If we feel like we love you and then the relationship goes bad it will be harder on you then if we had never told you that. we just want to be sure. Give it time.

Because they are guys and they think if they tell you they love you it makes them powerless and weak. It also establishes permanence, venerability to hurt and the word that scares them to the bone "commitment". Remember how they think... "a guy tells you he loves you at the wedding and it stays in effect until he cancels it". Good luck!

We do not say it usually because we do not "feel" it The way men and women look at love is different in many ways.
But if a man tells you that he has a great deal of respect for you, then to us, that is just like saying I love you.

Guys are intiminated by the word love they tend to feel trapped. They Are afraid of commitment. they feel like if they say the L word is show they belong to you. I say grow up!!!!!

Either love is a concept that doesnt occur to them. or it could be they are in love. just coz we love one doesnt mean they feel the same. its better than them faking and saying i luv u.
