Yes, because the only thing worth pursuing that has any eternal value is a relationship with Christ Jesus. The relationship can not be considered as "under the sun". Check out Eccelsiastes.

Not sure what you mean by this question. Do you mean that everything physical is somehow trivial compared to the Infinite? (forgive me if I'm reading too much into this!)
If so my answer is No, God (or whoever you believe in) created this complex and beautiful world and it's creatures (including us) we should appreciate it every day.
