H2O accually has a taste. It depends on the minerals that are in it, and if it is soft or hard, and what the pH level is. Pure H2O doesn't taste, and no one knows why...

I guess you mean distilled water, which is pure H2O. In that case, it has no taste because it does not have anything in it that would excite the taste buds. So you would get the feeling of liquid and the temperature, but not some combination of bitter, sour, salt, and sweet. Other kinds of water, as from a tap [feh!] or a natural spring will have different tastes because of the minerals and whatnot in it.

Water does have taste. It's just that you're comparing to other drinks like soda, coffee, juice, etc. So water is bland to you. If you you drink tap water all the time and then drink botted water you can taste the difference and vice versa.

I does, but you are probably so used to your local wateer that it has no taste. Go to a distant city, and you can well realize a distincly different taste.

It's like smells in the air. If you have been breathing in the same odor for more than just a few minutes, you don't notice. Someone else may notice your body odor before you do.
