Yes... I believe so. I am technically "christian"... but i am open to a lot of beliefs from other religions as well. I definitely take certain beliefs and values from other religions as well as christianity. I don't think I could say that I "worship" Jesus either. I worship GOD. Whichever god that may be. I choose to have a personal spiritual relationship with god and live my life the way I should.

The first part of any answer would be this: Do you believe all of His teachings or only some? The answer to that question is simple--all or none. Jesus made some pretty outlandish claims about Himself and, indirectly, His divinity. Yet, psychologists can find no evidence of any type of sycophantic or antisocial behavior. In other words, He believed what He said about Himself. We must therefore accept everything He said or dismiss it entirely.

Second, the Bible also shows His claims throughout the New Testament. Check out John 1:1-5. The mystery is that Jesus was fully human (flesh and blood, born of a woman) AND fully divine (God incarnate). The rest of John's Gospel attests to that dualism exclusive to Jesus. The other gospels and all of Paul's letters also reference it.

The thing is, most of us don't like not knowing the answer. We create "secret knowledge" or ignore the issue, but the fact remains--we can't know everything and must act on faith. Pray about it earnestly and see what God tells you.

Yes, absolutely. I consider myself a follower of Christ's teachings as well as the teachings of Buddha. Whether Jesus is God or not, is one of the of the mysteries of life. It is a matter of faith.

However, anyone can follow his teachings whether they consider him God, a prophet, or simply the first "modern" man, preaching equality and diversity at a time when these were heretical concepts.

I've attached some information regarding the Trinity - that is the belief that God exists as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Although many Christians believe in the Trinity and it is one of the cornerstones of Catholicism, not all Christians believe that Jesus was God. They do however, follow his teachings.

When asked, Jesus said he was the son of God. I do not think Jesus ever said he was God. For believers, all of us are daughters or sons of God. Rather than asserting his divinity by saying he was the son of God, Jesus may actually have been asserting his humanity, that like all humans, he was the son of God.

Yes, many people believes He's just a man like the Mormons, Chruch of Christ, Muslims, etc. but I believe He is God because it was written in Romans, all fall short of the glory of God...so that means all man sins but Jesus didn't...plus the many verses that points to Him as being God the Son...God commanded to worship only Him but even when Jesus was a baby, He was worshipped and His Father didn't mind it. So basically, to believe Jesus is to believe His divinity 'coz you can't just pick 'n choose verses that suits your needs...that would be hypocritical.
God bless.

Yes Muslims does the same.

Christianity is to know who was the man Jesus Christ and follow his teachings. SO, WE MUSLIMS FOLLOW THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS PBUH. IF CHRISTIAN IS A PERSON WHO FOLLOWS THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS CHRIST PBUH AND NOT ONE WHO WORSHIPS JESUS PBUH. THEN WE MUSLIMS ARE MORE CHRISTIAN THAN CHRISTIANS THEMSELVES.

We should consider the fact not just the word. The fact is that Jesus preached to believe in one God. Jesus worshipped one True God. Jesus prayed to God( he even fell on his face and prostrated, bible - Matthew 26:39). Jesus preached ten commandments which are found in the teachings of Islam also. Jesus prohibited pork, wine, blood, dead meat or any food on which any name besides God has been taken. Jesus prohibited adultery, fornication. Jesus practiced circumcision (bible - Luke 2:21), Jesus greeted by saying "peace be on you" (Luke 24:36) same as muslims greet i.e. Assalamoalikum means peace be on you, and last but not least, he prohibits Shirk i.e. Associating partners with God almighty (bible Mark 12:29). So all these teachings are part of Islam. So Jesus was a muslim.

The teachings of Christianity was never taught by Jesus. Jesus never said that "he is God". Jesus never said that he came to die for the sins of the world. what Jesus preached,, i mentioned above..

If you don't accept Jesus as God, then you are not really accepting all his teachings, because his teaching includes the fact that he is God. You might be accepting some of his teachings, but not all of them. That in turn means that you only accept the teachings which seem nice and reasonable to you, so it would not be correct to say that you BELIEVE in them, because belief implies having trust, and there's no trust involved in accepting something which just seems obvious.

Also, the main REASON for accepting his teachings is his teaching authority, and that authority comes from the fact that he is God. Once you accept Him as God, you can accept all his teachings. The entrance to it all is Love: you need to love him before you can accept him; but that very Love is actually his gift to you. You can ask for this gift.

Why not? I believe in Jesus and his teachings, but I never consider him as God. He's never a God or the son of God.

You can believe is some but not all. After all, He claimed to be God and received the worship of others. If you don't believe those claims then obviously you don't believe everything He said. In which case you would have to answer why you don't because it would be inconsistent to only accept somethings and not others.

Yes. I am atheist and like some of Jesus' teachings. I just don't believe in Jesus as a deity or savior.

I have a friend that is Jewish and thinks Jesus was a great man and follows his teachings yet she doesn't believe in his divnity. So she believes he was a good person but not a God. I'm Catholic and I don't agree but we have a lot of good conversations about this.
