For Christians:
1. If the pope sold all the gold in the vatican he could feed a 3rd world country for a year. Wouldn't that be the christian thing to do?

2. The bible says: When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)
Leviticus 18:22: Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind, is. Not talking about laws of men why should 1 be ignored and not the the 2nd one.

Hinduis: I've heard the cow is sacred because it gives milk, if so then why not a goat or any female animal that gives milk?

Muslims: I've never read the Quran but does it really say "death to the infidels"? If so why?

I'm not religious but these are all questions I have wondered about. Please answer if you know the answer to the question. None of these questions are meant insult people. They are all honest questions.

I'm a Christian so I'll only answer the first 2 questions.
You are absolutely right about the pope and his riches. I think he'll have a lot of explaining to do when he's standing before God one day......
As for the second question, those are both excerpts from the law God gave to the Israelites. According to Acts 15, Gentile believers are not required to keep the mosaic law.
Homosexuality however is mentioned also in the New Testament and is referred to as sexual immorality.

Yes you are right. The vatican is a big CEO run company that should give all of that money to the poor. They require more from there people then is Biblical.

Secondly. The passages of Scripture that your are refering to in Exodus and Leviticus. Neither one should be ignored. The difference is our geographic position. Exodus was how it was to be set up under an Biblical Israeli Government. If our government was set up the same way then this would apply. Slavery has been abolished and thus this does not apply. Also such things as slavery were done away at the time of Christ and His death for all of mankind. Slavery was most often a sign of sin. Slaves were either taken from defeated nations, or were an Hebrew who had sinned and lost everything that they owned and thus were required to sell themselves to another. God would have His people to be free.
Leviticus simply shows the way that GOd has defined marriage and sex from the very begininng. Done in this way it is a most beautiful picture of Christ who will come for His bride (feminine).

1. The Pope has to think of the future of the Vatican as well.
2. I'm not sure of your question here.
3. The human infant is fed breast milk by its human mother for under three years. After weaning, the cow acts as the surrogate mother providing milk for the rest of the human life - through childhood, adult age and old age. Cow is verily the mother of the world. So really every mother is to be worshipped but cows hold the most symbolism.
4. No the Quran does not say "death to the infidels" those are interpretations from the people preaching it.

1. The pope and Catholic church are corrupt in case you haven't noticed. That is why Martin Luther lead the religious revold in the 1500's.
2. Men are better than women in biblical times because quality was based on strength, in which men are biologically better than smarts, in which both sexes have equal potential.
3. Not sure. Good question though. May be the same thing about women not being important, and goats milk was less common than cow.
4. I am not sure about this either, but I do know that when Islam began, their policy was if you weren;t muslim you would be exiled, taxed, or killed. That history carries on today.

Hope this helped you a bit. I like your questions, they were very original.

Oh,and the homosexuality question. I believe that since there were far less people in the world, it was used to promote reproduction. Remmeber, the bible was written by men. At that time, they wanted as many people in their religion as possible, so they "outlawed" a factor that lessened their numbers.

The Old Testament is full of laws. You have to read the whole bible so that you can take all of the laws in context. One thing that you must know about Christianity is that the New Testament did away with all of the laws of the OT. Yes, the OT is still good and has many different principles that we must look to, but because of the blood of Christ we are no longer bound by law.

As for the Pope, only Catholics believe in him. A true Christian does not acknowledge him as holy as the Catholics do. It would take a Catholic person to answer that question.

Hope this helps!

First of all..you are right about the Vatican treasures...but then the office of the Pope or the Catholic "church" is the apostate church as spoken of in scripture. The same could be said for all of the money every church has (LDS, JW's, Crystal Cathedral, Lakewood Church, etc). You will know them by their fruits...ie; benevolence, teachings, humility and the Spirit.

As far as Exodus is concerned..you have to understand the way of indentured servants. A young single slave girl belonged to a household for life because it was the way in which she was provided for..most likely she would marry into the household or gain her freedom with her husband if he was a slave (slave essentially means employee). Its not like she could go down the road and get a job at the mall. Her family could buy her back if her master decided to let her go..other than that..if the family couldn't or wouldn't buy her back, she was the masters responsibility.

Leviticus 18:22 is talking about homosexuality. Its an abomination.

I'm not sure what your question is here but the Law still applies to us today..no where in scripture does it say that we are free to do whatever we want. Every law applies where ever the precept exists in society. There is no more a system of indentured servertude..at least not in the developed countries but there still exists the abomination of sexual sin.

To Hinduis..the cow is not sacred because it gives milk it is sacred because it has been attributed to with "caretaking" or a maternal value in the past and now with the edict of vegitarianism in most Hindu sects, the cow is revered as sacred because earlier Hindu tribes had to rely on it so heavily. A cow can be sacrificed and eaten but it cannot be slaughtered for food. Go figure.

You should read the Quran...so you can have what is called an informed opinion. I do not believe in the Quran as the word of God but I don't believe the slant on verses that call for jehad (Holy War). Just like with the Bible you have fanatics that twist the scriptures to fit their own agenda..so do Islamic fundamentalists use the Quran to stand behind in order to terrorize people into submission to their agenda. The violence in the Quran to be perpetrated on the enemy is only self-defensive against an oppressor..not offensive to rid the world of the "unbeliever".

Catholicism is the "corrupted" church as prophecied of throughout scripture.

The Christian religion is the natural resolution of God from the begining of creation beginning as His plan as the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob..the God of the Jews and now to the Gentiles as precepted in the relationship of Jacob and Esau.

The Hindu religion is based on an ancient region of the asian continant that is based off of astrology (paganism) the earliest religion on the planet and dates back all the way to the anti-diluvian period before the flood and in fact was the cause of the flood due to Gods objection to humans sacrificing their children to astrological "gods".

The Muslim religion is based on the teachings of Abraham, Moses and Jesus as depicted and written by the prophet Muhammad.

I hope this helps...love in Christ, ~J~ <><

Muslims: I've never read the Quran but does it really say "death to the infidels"? If so why? ~~~ Depend where and in the Quran and what Quran your talking about. some of it is talking about history .. Islam is a peaceful religion country to what people think, prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him, sat with Christan's and talked about Islam all the time, he didn't kill them , that is not how you spread Islam or good. you spread it by being the examples inshAllah. (God willing) the only time that the prophet went to war was when they were taking his right to be a Muslim and the Muslims right to be and to practice Islam . As would any one eles.
~There is no God or deity other then God Allah, and Muhammad pbuh is the last messenger~

We dont live in those times, things have changed because Jesus came to save us and has fulfilled the law. No law? you may ask well what do we live by? Jesus told the religious leaders that Love God, Love your neighbor, and love yourself is the greatest command. Love is our governor not law because it kills, condemns us. Love does not harm anyone if that is your motivation.
