Because you're taught from birth that it's the man who is supposed to ask you out... It's something that has a far reaching past back when women were the "fairer or weaker" sex. Certain things a man was supposed to do and other things that the woman was supposed to. Now a days if you can overcome your social conditioning, it's ok for either person to do anything in the relationship... You can ask him out, you can pay for it if you want to. He can be a gentleman and a good date... If you haven't you should go for it...

Well that first answer was true. It's scary when you ask some1 out cuz...you like them alot..and it's so hard to just go up to their face and say " will you go out with me?". I know how your feeling if you do want to ask someone out. Just stay positive and tell em. Also wat's the problem with us askin a guy out is that we don't even know if their going to take it serious...they might take it as a joke. Well atleast some guys. I hope I helped u with you answer?

fear of rejection... plus its kinda hard to break out of the traditional way of thinking that a guy should ask the girl out. its hard for me too. I can't ask a guy out... but I will put myself in a position for him to ask me out. I'll make sure I'm somewhat close to him. Make a little bit of eye contact. Smile. Flirt a little bit. It always works.

mostly because you have been conditioned as a woman not to do it. Through out your whole life you have been told not to ask men out to be the demure woman.

Women are more sensitive and our feelings and pride get hurt easier. Even if you get rejected you should hold your head high and think thats his loss and someone elses gain.

because ur afraid of being rejected if you like him......... it happened to me.. took me a couple years and then when i got the mcourage he rejected me.. but im ok noiw... soo take the chance and dont think of the bad side.. hopefully he will give you a chance...
