If you are 12 years old you are probably eating a lot because your body is growing, which is good, but make sure you are eating the right things. I was captain of my squad six years in a row, and girl...let me tell you...you are gonna be proud of those legs when stunting time comes. Because you have larger legs, you will probably be a base, and all your power comes from your legs. If you want to get them smaller, eat small, healthy meals every 3 hours during the day. Keep an apple or wheat crackers in your backpack and drink lots and lots of water. Lunges always helped me to keep my legs and butt toned and looking great. A piece of advice I was once given to slim up my thighs was to sprint (run really fast) a short distance, barefoot, in the grass. It targets muscles you normally wouldn't use...the muscles that you want to trim down. But never ever be discouraged by your size, because cheerleading is all about power. Remember:

if your 12 you probably still have baby fat, it might just go away by itself when you hit puberty, and if you want to have 'smaller' legs, u have to work out. go for a jog everyday, use an excersise machine, anything that u can feel the muscles on your legs burning...eat more fiber, like green peppers, or drink green tea, this will help you have regular bowel movements so you lose some weight, and it pumps up metabolism. lay off junk food, and dont give up :)

Exercise! Do a good regimen of cardiovascular work combined with leg exercises. The stairmaster at the gym is good, or perhaps nordic track kinds of machines. Or, simply run or walk every day and combine that with leg exercises. Good luck!

Walk Walk Walk...don't do any weight-training or stair stepping, b/c this tends to muscle up the legs more. You just need to walk everyday for 30min - 1 hour at a pretty brisk pace. Jog for half of it if you can....you'll start to see a difference, slowly but surely.

well if they are muscel ENJOY THAT you will be a good lifter on cheerleading.
but if its fat, then do some leg exersises.

ive been on it for five days, ive lost four pounds, and my legs are stronger. im just a few years older then you too. so it will work for you too. im a sophomore in hs. soo you can try it too goodluck!

Maybe u can try a larger skirt and larger socks to hide a little your real legs length (just a few cm larger).

if you wish to make your legs smaller you will have to follow chinese traditional. But i think as you have already passed your childhood now it would not be possible. you may take surgical help if any available in the world. otherwise how could it be possible. You may wire one kind of shoes and shocks which can help you in attaining your goal.

if you have a driveway then run up and down there every nite 20 times.... thats what i do.... & i got almost every boy in school drooling over me!! thatll happen 4 u 2!!! jus start exercising more
