What do you think who would win if a rott, and a pit got in a fight. i have 2 rotts myself and i personally think that if a full grown 160 pound rott vs an full grown pit bull at 105 pounds, who would win ? i personally think that a rott would win cause 1. rott's are bigger ( but a little slower ) 2. Jaws of a rott are diffrent from other dogs, rott jaws are shorter and can open wider, there is a vet i know that said, rottwielers can easily snap the the spin of any dogs that tries to attack it. 3. rott's teeth have a diffrent alignment with 4 large canine bitting tetth 2 medium canine teeth. But on the other hand the pit bull. 1. smaller more faster 2. when it bites a person it would shake its head left to right ripping the flesh of of the person/animal, thats why you ever see a pit bull attack on a human, the flesh were they got bit looks like ground beef. 3. pit bull skulls can open real big.

i think that the rott would win idk, what do you guys think ?

I love rots to death but in a fight I think a pit bull would win they have lock jaw and that means when they bite they have to close their jaw before re-opening it. You are right it really would look like ground beef!

First off, pitbull is a title that includs several breeds, including the American Pit Bull Terrier, the Staffordshire Terrier, and several other breeds. One of those breeds is the American Bulldog, the largest of the true pitbull breeds, which can be as big or bigger than any Rottweiler ever born, and is almost as strong as a small horse. Put those two dogs against each other, you better get out the butter, cause your Rottweiler is toast.

Actually, about 15 years ago, there was an article I read about underground dog fighting (which I think is disgusting) in which they banned Rottweiler's because they were killing the pit bulls in a matter of minutes. The pit bulls would bite and hold on for dear life while the Rottweiler continued to bite over and over.

Many people love the idea of owning a dog but one thing that they have to keep in mind often times, is that the dog needs to be trained. While the pet may look heart-breakingly cute when it's in a shelter or at the pound, picking out the dog is only the first part of the relationship between dog owner and the animal. Many people don't understand that they have to put time and effort into socializing the dog.

An unsocialized dog will intimidate others, tear up the home, and will create an environment that can become so bad that the it will have to be returned. Many times when dogs have to be returned to shelters or to other resources, it will end up euthanized, which is very heartbreaking. All of this can be spared if a person learns the various techniques in order to socialize the dog.

One thing that they have to understand is that the he wants to be told what to do. It's in the canine nature to follow a leader. The dog will be more than willing to obey the leadership of its master. Here's a look at some common techniques that are used in dog training:

"Dog Whispering"

This is a technique that has been around for a while, but gained national notoriety over the last 10 years. Some people might hear this term and wonder how in the world whispering to a dog can train it! Whispering isn't meant to be taken literally in this case. As trainers have shown, whispering is a term that refers to connecting with a being or an entity on a very deep and almost spiritual level. When it comes to dog training techniques, dog whispering involves careful observation of the dog's behavior and actions.

It literally entails getting inside the mind and the behavior system of the canine. When a person uses dog whispering techniques, they interact with the dog on the canine level. Again, one the most common mistakes that people make is treating the dog like a small human being.

"Reward Training"

Reward training is very simple and it's one of the older tricks that works. This is a simple method of training the dog by positive reinforcement. Once he does what it is told to do, it receives a treat. How this works is that the dog owner must entice the dog towards the treat. Once the canine develops awareness for the treat, it develops a strong desire for it. When the desire for it is extremely strong, the dog owner pulls back. Then the dog receives a command and when the dog obeys the command, it receives the treat. The object is to make the dog associate a treat with the command.

"Clicker Training"

Other dog training techniques include one that is similar to reward training, which is called clicker training. How this works is that the clicker is incorporated to get the dog's attention. The clicker is clicked as a form of communication with the dog. It learns that there is a command or reward associated in conjunction with the clicker. Many people claim that this is fun, and they actually make a game with the dog by using the clicker for their dog training tasks.

"Ultrasonic Whistle"

Last, a relatively new form of dog training technique is called the ultrasonic whistle. This works because the ultrasonic sound is only heard by the dog. When the owner is trying to communicate a command, or stop the dog from barking, they will blow on their whistle when they want to communicate a command to the dog. The benefit of this is that the humans can't hear this noise, but the dog can hear it, and they will learn to associate the sound with a command.

Dog training techniques aren't hard to incorporate, but they are something that absolutely must be incorporated from the time a dog owner brings their new dog home. No matter how old or how young the dog is, they will need training. Once they are trained properly, they will be a wonderful addition to one's family.

dog fighting aint cool.. but hypothetically if the two fought, the Rott is substantially bigger in size. He'd probably slap the pit bull around but lets be real people, A pit bull was bred to fight bigger animals (pit bulls were originally used as BULL BAIT, meaning they were used to basically bite an actual steer until the bull died.) yes, they were put into a pit with an actual BULL until the dog or bull died. That was 18th century entertainment folks. Overtime, the pit bull breed became fighting dogs against other pit bulls.. so they have fighting in their blood. A Rott would defiantley snap and bite the pit but if the pit gets ahold of that rotts neck, good luck getting him off. Pitbull hands down

Unfortunately I've actually witnessed this in real life and the rott nearly killed the pit. It was by accident a pit jumped the fence at a breeders and the rott nearly destroyed the pit before we could stop it. I don't like to see dogs fight and I don't condone it what's ever, but realistically in a fight it could go either way. More than likely the Rott is going to win.

Although pitbull are a little more compact l. Rottweilers have the superior bite force and power. Some rottweilers are even bred to take out wolves and coyotes. They grab their throat with their enormous bite force, then with their muscular neck, shake the wolf/coyote. This one was already dead, but it's what the rottweiler would do in that situation. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rb0Xwweuznc

a rott will win in a fight
1: all rotts have a guarddog/killing bloodline, which means they are bread to defend and kill.
2:also rotts are buffer and bigger so the muscles of the jaw=power of bite so since they are naturally bigger they have stronger jaws and they have many canines that are 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches long some canines are bigger than others depending on placement in mouth.
3. a rotts ability to have great stamina depends on condition of rott and also personality so if you have
a lazy rott and it is not fit the pitbull will be a lot quicker and will have stamina as they usually do.
4.as one of the previous comments stated, a pitbull goes into a rampage and does not strategize but a rott uses both aggressiveness and strategy to because its instinct is to guard more than kill so it is not always worried about the kill so it needs to know how to guard so because of that, it needs to strategize.
5. a pitbull is naturally a very energetic dog and is a great hunter and that is why it can stand up to most dogs and can stand about 2 minutes against a cougar.
6. don't get me wrong a pitbull is a very resilient dog and its will and energy and strength is powerful it will prob. loose to a rott which is clever, strong, fierce, willed, and protective. now a pitbull vs. a African lion dog will be a hard choice to decide they are both about the same and have the same strengths.
