Oh man that is sad, look your best bet is to contact the media and tell them her situation, try to contact as many networks as you can so that her story can appear in the news. Once the word spreads of her situation alot of wealthy people are bound to help her. Tell her not to be ashamed to ask for help(if she is)
Good Luck;)

That is so sad. Maybe try one of those consumer credit counseling places that could maybe stop the repo process and maybe even get some of the family's debt forgiven. I guess they work out payment plans for you and the people who are owed money would rather get some of their money than none at all. Also did they belong to a church at all? If so, their church may be willing to donate to them......I dont know where the family lives but even the local Social Service agency can probably guide them in the right direction as far as applying for emergency assistance

Just a suggestion... Contact the American Cancer Society to see if they can direct you to some organizations that may offer assistance. Also do some web searches of famous people/celebrities that do charity work/contributions for cancer. Also, send an e-mail to Oprah... Good luck!

Try organizing neighborhood fundraisers: bake sales, a sock hop, raffles, a theme basket sale. Or have a sockhop with a bake sale, raffle and theme basket sale. If you go to local businesses and explain what you are doing they are usually more than happy to donate products for the cause. Make flyers and distribute EVERYWHERE in your community to get a good turnout.

They should file chapter 7 and force the banks hand. they will probably not lose their home but have to find a way to make payments. Gte an atty and dont wait for the bank to tack on $$$$ in late fees.

Yahoo! Answers probably isn't the best place to ask such questions, but here's an idea? Why don't you do a fundraiser?

People always end up giving money when there is drama.

Good luck.
