Nice and memorable does not necessarily have to be expensive. I don't know your son or your financial situation. However, tickets to a music concert (one he's into), a camping or road trip, or a plane trip to someplace not too far away... just do things together he will remember for life and it will bring you two closer together. Our family does a lot of camping, weird trips, national parks.... and everyone of them is a memorable experience. Maybe you don't need a surprise, maybe you could have him select the place and activities for the trip. Good Luck to you! And don't pay attention to the trashy answers you are receiving from some of our less educated users.

Maybe u should throw him a surprise b-day party, get him a car, or get him a hotel room for him and his friends!

give him something that he likes!!

a trip, a good cd, tickets to a concert, go out to dinner, find out what he likes from his friends, you could always throw him a suprise party and invite all of his friends.

Depends on the budget...

A car?

A plasma TV?

A plane ticket?

a well thought out letter telling him why you are proud of him and memories of his childhood that make your heart soar.

Umm, I dunno. 18 is the age where they get the exspensive gifts (car, money, computer, college)...I do not know how you could get him something not exspensive and then suprise him. Good luck trying though.
