Of course they are. You think someone would CHOOSE to be gay in this society?
For all you straights... do you ever remember making a conscious decision to be straight? No? Then that means you were born that way, just like the gay person who didn't make that decision either.
You're born with a predisposition to be attracted to certain typee, then when you begin to develop sexually, you realize that predisposition. Some guys like fat women... some only like blondes... some like other men. It's as simple as that.

You say "born with it" like it's a disease. For gay people, it's as normal as being straight is to me. I think we need to stop worrying about whether or not gay people should be allowed to marry (they should have the same rights as every other human being) and get this country back on track to what really matters!

What exactly is it? Being gay is not a disease, I don't like your tone but judging from the f**ked up answers you got to this question then you are not alone- I think that sums up all the problems in the world today, complete intolerance it's sickening

What the hell is "it"? If you mean being gay then were you born straight? Or were you born gay and chose to be straight??

this is actually a question that science has not yet answered ... some believe that they are born with the 'gay gene', while others believe that it really is a preference that they choose ... whatever it is, this 'nature vs. nurture' argument is not yet solved :)

No, it is a theory brought on by gay people to make them feel not guilty.

I have heard that a lot of gay people develop their sexual preference due to being sexually abused as a child.

Yes.
Why would anyone in their right mind want to choose a lifestyle where they are ridiculed, assaulted and frowned upon by society?
