it's the same as "or"...but used in negative sentences:

negative sentences:

I don't want candy nor soda.
I don't like Stephanie nor Claudia.
I didn't go to California nor Texas for vacation.
I won't take the job at the office nor at the hospital.

"or" is for positive sentences:

Either I want candy or soda.
Stephanie or Claudia is the girl for me.
I want to go to California or Texas for vacation.
Either I'll work at the office or the hospital.
