Honestly I would have to say I prefer pagans. Not that I have anything against Christians, its just that Pagans seem to play nicer with others. I've never heard a Pagan say that I will burn in hell forever for not agreeing with them.

I've never met an enlightened pagan. All of the pagans I've met are "ooh, I'm rebelling against common culture because I'm a pagan and not a christian! So there!"

That said, the quantity of enlightened christians is also woefully few, probably because they don't really comprehend how to do what the religion deems that they should (past "be fruitful and multiply," anyway). I've met a few, and they're stunning people. But I haven't met -- statistically -- too many.

I haven't met many zen Buddhists or devout muslims, either, but of the few that I've met, both religions had more (statistically) enlightened devotees than either paganism or christianity. This probably says more about the mobility of great people -- lots of pagans and christians around here are home-grown, muslims and buddhists immigrated -- but it's possible that there's a lesson here...

Clearly the US needs to mandate a new national religion of Zen Islam to get all of the christians, pagans, brainier-than-thou agnostics and infinitely-thin-skinned athiests to stop bickering with each other. If we can make them all yell "WTF?" in unison, well, it may be the first time they've done anything in unison...

(Honestly, though, you can't judge the quality of an actual religion by looking at the people who claim to follow it -- it is possible to follow a creed without enjoying the company of the kids who are doing it only because it's popular.)

Do you mean as a friend? Well I pick a true Christian one that is good and is not a hypocrite, and that supports me. A pagan friend, if I hanged out with him long enough his values would rub off on me. Drinking, smoking, drugs, all of the other sinfull crud. That's why I would pick someone that would build me up, not bring me down into addiction and all sorts of evil crap.

I pick a Christian.

Pagan of course! Most Christian holidays came from pagan ones anyway. And Paganism is so much more interesting.. multiple gods... I think of nature and nudity. maybe i'm wrong, but it seems much less stifled than Christianity, which is causing so much destruction.

I am Pagan because I believe in personal responsibility, the sanctity of the material world, the holiness and equality of all life and the individual's personal relationship(s) with God(s) of his or her choice. Christianity opposes all of these.

As a friend, I wouldn't choose based on religion. I would choose someone who didn't drink, smoke, abuse their family members, swear too much, and DID take care of his or her body, treat others with respect and kindness and seek to expand his or her awareness. And, of course, someone who could debate properly without getting all emotional about it.

Neither, I would choose Muslims, because I am a Muslim and I find Islam to be the true religion and I'm not asking anyone to agree with me.....

I am just telling you my choice

as to why?

because I believe there is only one God (Allah) and HE begets not nor is HE begotten and Mohammed (may peace and blessings be apon him, and may Allah be pleased with him) is the last Prophet, the Seal of Allah, Allah willing slave.

Transliteration
Ashhadu Al'la Ilaha illallahu wa ash hadu anna Muhammadadan abduhu wa rasasiluh

yeah I know some dont agree with that, but you know what? thats ok too, inshaa Allah you will respect others enough to agree to disagree

Christian because it's the only way to God. Also, he loved me enough to die on the cross for me so I could spend eternal life with him. What did Mother Nature do? Nothing, she is His creation.
