your hairdresser should have a violet cream that will balance out the brassyness. Check with them and they can get that out.

My first of piece of advice would be to visit a good colorist... but if you are doing this at home you want to use something that just applies tones without further lifting of the color... if you are trying to remove red use something with an ash base, and if you are trying to remove a more orangey color from the hair use something with a blue or violet base. This can be very tricky because blonde hair is very porous. If you were near Knoxville I would tell you to come see me in the salon.

Before you do anything crazy..Paul Mitchell has a product called Shampoo Three..It takes all of the chlorine and mineral build up out of your hair that contributes to brassiness.

There is special shampoo for that. It deposits a slight purple colour into your hair, taking the 'brassiness' out of it. It's not cheap however, and I've only seen it in salons.

you could try adding a littlle bit of baking soda to your rinse, it will cut some of the color. But don't use too much.

argh! i used to have that! go to a salon and they should be able to take that out. theres also a toner by clairol at the stores that should help. :) have fun!!

get highlights where they r or just die your hair and different color and just keep getting it done so it starts to look natural after a while.
