To say, "A rose by any other name is just as sweet," implies that a name is of no importance.
I refuse to believe that.
Your name is important to you, especially if someone calls you a vulgar name or if an incorrect name appeared on your paycheck.
The bible says there is salvation in the name of the Messiah.
Saying you are acquainted with an important name can get you into or out of many situations.
