All three and they are not just damaging to kids but to adults too. There is no plausible reason on earth why we should entertain ourselves with movies that promote violence, gore, death, rape, crime, rage, infidelity, seduction, greed, the exploitation of women and small children and etc. There are movies out there that demonize children making them evil and possessed and we flock to the theaters and rental stores for this garbage.

Of the prodigal son~ we have strayed so far that we hunger after pig food and are disappointed when we don't have it..when God has laid out for us a feast and we turn our nose up at it.

Someone said earlier up the list of answers that it was sex was a part of life so it wouldn't harm children to watch it depicted in movies...I have a question for that person...when was the last time you saw a love scene depicted between a loving husband and wife? Its not just the act that is inappropriate but also the venue in which it takes place...most "love scenes" in movies show lack of restraint or self-disapline...the reckless abandon that doesn't portray the using, the lying, the unwanted pregnancy, the desease, the loss of self-repect or the message that love and sex are the same thing. They are not. We wonder why our country is falling apart...maybe its because we embrace pig food and then feed it to our children. Love in Christ, ~J~ <><

I would rather have my child watch most "R" rated movies than read or hear anything written or uttered by Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity et al. Most violence, sex and language in these movies is far less vile and damaging to the mind. any mind, than the utterances of these creatins.

I think the inane plot holes and ridiculous dialogue are far worse.

Sex, violence and language may interfere with a child's vision that the world is a perfect, safe place. But the world is not. The sooner they learn that the better they may be for it.

Honestly, the garbage Hollywood turns out, I don't think is safe for anybody's viewing.

Case in point: "Little Man." What???

I think that viewing sex is most damaging due to the intimate nature and special bond that two people have when they have sex. This can lead to unhealthy habits in children and may grow up thinking that sex is dirty, un-natural, and/or wrong. This may also lead to unhealthy thoughts about the opposite sex, viewing them as objects rather than people to be respected.

I would think the language since they would probably repeat it. But, also the violence because they might imitate it or it could give them nightmares. Sex to me is natural and they could very easily accidentally see their parents doing it and i doubt they would be scarred for life.

Violence... sex is natural. Bad language will be acquired elsewhere anyways, and it's just words... but violence spreads quickly throughout communities of impressionable kids.... it's just not necessary.

sex
because it portrays sex as a non-private act.
Often shown as a violent act as well.
Language can be explained as can violence but most parents would have a hard time explaining the sex.

Those movies are rated R for a reason. Kids don't need to be watching any of that, anyway.
