The actual first verse giving permission to test Job is chapter one, verse 12.
And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in they power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.
The next verse giving permission to harm his body, but not kill him is Chapter 2, verse 6
And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand;but save his life.

Rom 13:a million also, deception takes position at the same time as all people loves some thing else more desirable than God, we ought to LOVE RIGHTEOUSNESS, and Hate wickedness, or we will be really deceived! sons and daughters, enable no guy deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, at the same time as he's righteous. a million John 3:7

God knew that Job wouldn't let Him down, so He allowed Satan to test Job...Satan failed.
