The picking season begins in late Nomember and ends in the first few days of Janalary. Actually, the first few days of the new year signify the end of the picking season because of the... Ommm... Seasonal rains.

Unfortunately fartleberries are one of the rare species of plants that produce all year. The more that are picked the more they produce.
Ironically, it does seem that they produce even more during the colder seasons when people tend to be indoors more. The presence of these awful malodorous berries can clear a room in seconds.

You will know the fartleberries are ripe when you start to smell them. Typically, they ripen a few hours after the bean and cheese burrito season.
