The same reason why when your under 16 driving seems so cool, and why you swear that you'll vote about all the real issues, but when you turn 18 you forget to vote. It's all about limitations, what you can and can't do. Think about Europeans, they don't have half as many drunk driving accidents, because there are no limitations ( they get to drink and drive as fast as they want because there are no speed limits)

Because when you are under 21 you have this thing called the adreline that gets you going and when you drink alcoholic drinks you think that you have gotten away with something illegal.

Because you're not supposed to be able to do it. Which is I think is stupid. If they lowered the drinking age the kids would get the party phase out of the way before it had the chance to interfere with other parts of their lives.

because its illegal. by the time i turned 21 and was able to drink legally, it wasn't a big deal.
