I am not sure what to do. I want to remove the tape because I think he has learnt his lesson, but it's very sticky and it won't come off. What should I do? When I pull on it he starts to growl and scream.

You guys have me so upset that I'm crying. I DIDN'T KNOW this was gonna' happen. Should I just leave the tape on and let it come off naturally? The cat is jumping all over the place.

Okay I'll be the first one to admit this was a mistake. But come on, it's just a cat! How many tears do I have to cry before you realize how sorry I am. I still can't get the tape off even with hot soapy water. He is literally jumping all over the place & just going crazy. He's like a wild animal.

I don't want to take the cat to the vet. I have an important dinner date tonight and I have to start getting ready. All I can do is let the tape come off naturally and hope for the best. I won't do this again. I'll get him a scratching post like many of you said. Right now I have him in the closet until he calms down some. Thanks for all your good advice. Now I gotta' start getting ready.

listen to me carefully, soak his paws in warm water. rub the tape and pull slowly. once you get some of it off, he would pull the rest off. But the best thing to do is put his paws in the warm water. i suggest the bathroom so you can close the door. and pull fast. this has happened to me b4. my little sister put tape on my cats paws. the water worked out. when a pulled she got loose and ran out the bathroom. so do this and HOPEFULLY it will come off. Good Luck. and send your cat my best wishes.

First ascertain you have a important sort of issues available that she will scratch. Its additionally a solid concept to many times clip her claws on a weekly foundation yet examine up on it slightly so which you the place to clip too because of the fact too some distance of a clip will injure the blood vessels. After that theres a pair products you will get. there are particular sprays you are able to positioned on the furinture which will scent undesirable on your cat and might deter her from scratching. there is likewise sticky pads you are able to positioned on the furinture that the cat won't like the feel of. you additionally can get a product called protection claws that are like rubber caps for the nails and she or he wont be waiting to scratch with those. in the journey that your no longer into buying any products than get a twig bottle with water which you squirt the cat with each time she starts scratching and afterwards direct her to a minimum of a few thing she will scratch. This technique might take it slow so which you're able to desire to be waiting to stick to it.

RETARD!!!!!
what you do is you can soak the cats paws in warm water while gently rubbing the tape trying to get as much water inbetween the tape and the paw. Then if that don't work then you need to take the cat to the vet and ask the vet what you can do, if they say there is nothing they can do ask them if they can give the cat somethng to numb the pain

Use cooking oil, the liquid kind like olive or corn. Lock yourselves up in the bathroom, but a bunch in your hand and grab your cats paws, it will come off easily. Then just use a little soapy water, and get the oil out. Next time, don't tape his paws, get a squirt gun/bottle and squirt him once or twice when he scratches, eventually he will stop.

You're an idiot. Why on earth would you do that???!!! Cats need to scratch. It's just part of their nature. Get a cat tree or scratching post for your baby so he can scratch at leisure. In the meantime, you're going to have to get some mineral oil (please get one that is ingestible!) and use it to loosen the glue on the tape. It will be a painstaking process, but you deserve it for your stupidity and your cat deserves the extra care and gentleness that will be required to remove the tape without harming him. That poor cat. You don't deserve such a fantastic creature in your life.

Soak the paws.
Remove the tape.
Take kitty to the vet to be sure there is no tissue damage.
Sign yourself up for some counciling, because something is WRONG with you if you couldn't realize what a bad idea this was.

Hey guys, don't say you're an idiot or retard. Can't you folks see that there is enough worry all ready?!
I would suggest that you either use baby oil, CAREFULLY use scissors, or take him to the vet. And next time, maybe think about the consequences before you do something. <:-\

Use some BABY OIL !! This will dissolve the adhesive from the tape. Then, once the tape is off soap and rinse his paws off. And please, NEVER EVER try something like that again, I hope that you have learned your lesson from this one.

Don't ever do that again. It's stupid and cruel. Next time, put the tape on the furniture, and give him a piece of furniture you want him to scratch.
