add italian bread crumbs. don't be afraid to add liquid things as well (A1, vinegar, mustard... anything with a lot of flavor). then make sure the meat is getting cooked up around the edges before flipping with a spatula big enough to pick the whole burger up. happy grilling!

Place aluminum foil on top of the grill. Works for me. By the time its consistent enought to not fall throught the grill, I remove the aluminum foil.

i usually cover grill with foil,,,i've never had a problem with them falling through ...what i want to know is how to keep from dropping them when you turn them...i lose at least one burger per cookout that way. ;)...(oh and i usually buy premade patties, if i am making my own i add stuff to it like lipton soup mix, green peppers, etc.)

add an egg and oatmeal to the meat before you make your patties. This will thicken them up.

you may not like this, but a less lean gound beef will stay together better than really lean stuff. plus once it's done if you melt a slice of cheese on it, it will glue it all together
