Well i don't really think their is a way of stop snoring. I would actually check with your Dr. It might be that you might need to loose weight, but you might also have OBSTRUCTIVE SLEEP APNEA. do you stop breathing at night? if so i would check with your Dr. That can be taken care of. Their is a machine out their that prevents the snoring and the none breathing at night called a CPAP. You might not know that you stop breathing, but if you are married then you might want to ask your spouse to keep a close eye on you. If you have these symptoms check on it.

Lose weight if it an issue.
If you still snore, consider contacting a pulmonologist for a sleep study, as you may have sleep apnea. That can be treated with a machine at night that delivers some pressure through a mask (CPAP), or by surgery (uvulopalatopharygoplasty - UPPP, or some other procedures.)
Sometimes tonsils/adenoids cause snoring.

elevate the head of your bed an inch. or, use one of those sprays that kinda work or learn circular breathing, that's suppossed to help with snoring. And for you all who mention weight, I've known very fit and trim folks who snore VERY loudly.

You might want to find out if you have any polyps in your nose or deviated septum. Also if you have any allergies sometimes that effects how you breath causing snoring. Buy some of those nasal strips to see if that helps.

They have special contraptions that you wear while you're asleep to make your snoring unheard. The comedian, Kathy Griffin's, husband wears one and they sleep peacefully.
