performance will suffer, but for games that don't require a disk once installed, you can copy the game data (My Computer...c:\...Program Files...(game/publisher name)) in data format to a cd, then just load the cd in a computer and run the .exe file. please note, a cd version will most likely be unable to save, I would recommend installing to a usb thumb drive.

This may work:
1. Uninstall the application from your HDD, making sure you still have a copy of the installation file
2. Burn the installation file (and READMEs is you want) to the disc
3.Insert the disc in your CD-Drive and launch set up
4. Select to play from your CD during the installation (most game installations will have this)
Hopefully, this would have worked. I can't guarantee it, and there will always need to be a little bit of data on your HDD but this should ensure that you play from the CD.

You really cant actually unless the game loads completely in to memory and writes nothing to disc. Most games that come on CD still create files on your local drive for current game info. If you want to have a game separate from your PC I would suggest a USB drive, or external HD.

Typicall you can't.
Most games now days require Windows registry, in addition to various other Windows elements to run correctly. Running it off a CD would slow the game down tremendously, and would also cause many failures when you try to run it.
Some older games will allow this without a problem, but not modern ones.

Whenever you install a game, it gives you the option for a custom install.
Usually, if there is an ability to play the game from CD, that option will be found there.
