You can be in touch with him using phone, emails or text. If you truly love him, Long distance will not be effected.

My fiance is movin to Cali in 3 weeks and I live in Miss. If you really love and trust each other then things will be fine. Maybe since you two have been together for a while, you might consider a deeper committment if you are ready. Maybe a promise ring or engagement might help you be more confident. It is only a few hours plane flight. It wont' be that bad. My bf and I are getting married in October so we will be apart for 5 months and because we are savign for the wedding we won't be able to fly to see each other. but ifyou guys are serious about each other, you can make it work. Just make sure you talk about everything,, dont' hold back. communication is key.

You will miss him like mad the first month, miss him the second month, and the third month, you will be off in a new world of friends, etc. He will be wondering what happened. This is an age-old story. No, you will not remain close, and yes, you will both live to love again. Of course, you might be one of the few who actually survive the situation, but either way, everything will be fine. IT will be what it will be. Good luck

First-people who live in California don't call it "cali". Second-you're 18 and going off to college-I'm all for true love, but you should be dating like mad when you get there. If nothing else jsut to have some fun and to live a little so you don't feel like you missed anything later. And Third-good communication is key to any relationship.

I know this is probably what you don't want to hear, but you two need to compromise and decide to see other people. When you go to college you meet sooooooooooo many new people, friends, love interests, etc. College is a whole new world. If you and your b/f truly love each other and it's meant to be, it WILL be, regardless of who else you see. But whatever you do, come to a mutual understanding and don't cheat on each other. That will make it worse in the end and both of you will get hurt.

If you plan to see this guy in the future then you must keep him around in your present. If you are able to talk try to do it every toher day. Keep him informed of who you've met and the places you have visited. Don't force him to do the same but after you do it so many times he'll start doing the same thing. It's like he's able to hear your every day life and know what's on. Try to send him lots fo pics so he knows the physical changes you go through and send him pictures of the people around you in your everyday life

Well first things first, congrats on getting into college!
Second now, this is going to sound lame and not what you want to here, but if it is meant to be it will be. Me and my husband where sweethearts in middle school and I moved away, 7 years later we ran into each other and have been together ever since. you have to have patients and now in your heart of hearts that everything will work out even if it is not the way you wanted it to.
