First of all, if your doc says you are not overweight then I wouldn't worry to much. They are there to look after your health and if you were overweight they would be the first to let you know. But I understand the feeling of not being happy with the way you look. I have had 2 children and have about 25-30 lbs to lose. But every time I say that to someone they say "you look great for having had two kids". But I don't want people to look at me and be able to tell that I had any kids. My advise to you is ...portions...its very important that you are not overdoing your portions at mealtimes. Eat six small well balanced meals a day. Or maybe 3 meals with healthy snacks in between so your not starving when it comes time for a meal. Also a good excercise routine is important. But don't jump into it to fast or you will burn out. A good idea might be to get a personal trainer at a local gym. Even if its just for a few sessions, they really can get you motivated and help you figure a good program for excercise. Then you also know someone at the gym who could keep tabs on you. And if you miss a few days will wonder where you are. It really helps...trust me. Good Luck!!!

So don't go on a diet, change your eating habits and watch your portion sizes. Instead of reaching for that bag of potato chips get a bag of Mini Crisps and don't eat the whole bag have 8 or 16. You still get to have it, just not as much. Grab an apple instead of a chocolate bar. Get your mp3 player or cd player and headphones and go for a 30 minute walk, ask your friends or even your mom to walk with you. If you are overweight there's a pretty good chance that your legal guardian, or parent is too. Maybe they would like to get a few pounds off too and will help by preparing healthier meals and going for walks with you...ask! The worst thing they can say is no and they'll probably say YES! If you have a diet/exercise buddy it makes it so much easier.
TOPS and Weight Watchers are both great programs if you can afford them. Losing weight isn't just a diet or depriving yourself of food, it's changing your eating and exercising habits and it's a LIFESTYLE CHANGE so it has to be something that you can live with for the rest of your life. Do it right ONCE and you won't have to do it again or keep doing it your entire life and yo-yo dieting is so bad for your health.
If you put your mind to it you can do it!!! My sister went to weight watchers and lost over 60 lbs and just finished running her 2nd full marathon. If she can do it ANYONE can do it INCLUDING YOU!!! Just remember that you are worth the time, effort and money it takes to be healthy and beautiful inside and out!

First off...
You need a new doctor.
No doctor, in their right mind would deem an overweight person "healthy" You did the right thing by consulting your doctor first. They are always the best place to start
Next, my suggestion is to try a nutritionist/life coach He/she can help you get your eating on track
How do you feel about exercise? I, personally hate it but I would going to Curves for Women (www.curves.com) unlike any "gym" I have ever been to! Your workout is DONE in 30 mins and the ladies that work there are very very friendly. They take your measurements every month and track your progress.
Have you thought of maybe attending an Over eaters Anonymous meeting? You can find GREAT support and suggestions from people who have "been there"
Hang in there, things WILL get better.

Just eat good foods and exercise regularly - dieting rarely works for anyone. If you really want to lose weight you must change your lifestyle. Dieting is not the answer.
A change in perspective might help too - you are beautiful and you must tell yourself that everyday. Don't let society make you believe you are disgusting just because you aren't 5'10 and weigh 100 lbs. Not everyone can look like a supermodel - it's a lot of work, a lot of make up, a lot of sacrifices and a lot of airbrushing.
Good luck and remember - we are all beautiful in our own way and physical beauty really is only skin deep. I've known plenty of thin "beautiful" girls with personalities so disgusting and ugly that no amount of make up could make them more appealing - I've known dogs with better personalities than those girls.

You need to look at slowly making life style changes instead of dieting. For example, I will exercise Tuesday and Thursday after work. Once that becomes a habit, add something else like, I will only eat fast food 1x per week. Then change another habit and another until you are truly living healthy. It will be a slow process but the weight will come off, and stay off, in time.

but its easy to burn that much in a day buy jumping on the tramp for 5 min, walking for 30 min, and doing some squats for 3.
go to that website, its free, easy and fun. ive been on it for five days and have lost 4 pounds .it just tells you how much you should burn a day, and what your intake should be, what you can do to burn it off, over 100 indoor activietes for cardio. its soo fun.
you just sign up for FREEE, enter your weight, enter the weight you want to by but a certain date, and it will ask you some questions and some suggestions you say you will do. and it hooks you up with a nutrion plan that you can add food it and it tells you how many calories it is (they have like every brand, even like a grande cofee carmal frap from starbucks i mean its exact stuff!) and a strength and conditioning plan that you do three times a week, and a cardio plan that you do three times a week.

You're NOT disgusting! I think good health starts from the mind. The mind is a powerful think, don't use it to put yourself down. In fact, i'm sure there are many good things about you that you're just not allowing yourself to see. Self discipline and self motivation can be hard if you ask too much too fast from yourself. Take it one day at the time and surround yourself with people who care for you and support you in your decisions.
