I agree the casio's are great, don't like any of the sony's, anything with a rechargeable internal battery i like, cameras don't make a photograph, the photographer does

The Kodak Z7590, 5 mp, and a 10X Schneider Kreuznach zoom lens for $ 299 at BH is a very good camera.
The lens is very sharp, and the camera has simple flash synchronization, which allows you to use an external flash lighting system. It has a PC cord terminal, you can connect external flashes.
With Manual, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, AE Program and scene modes, you can choose the right exposure mode for you.

We are very happy with our Kodak digital camera and printer dock. We got the package deal at Walmart for $300.00

Anything NOT bought at Walmart. seriously though, Canon is very good. I would check out the links listed above and go with a powershot that meets your needs (size vs features/#of megapixels, zoom, etc.)

casio exilim th 5megpixel version...fits in pocket...can get a 2gig card and store hundreds of pics
