You contact the Social Security Administration at 800-269-0271. You can also contact the credit bureaus at transunion.com, equifax.com, or experiean.com. If you believe you are a victim of identity theft, do it now.

Just through your credit bureaus, expedian, trans union, and equifax. I went to the SS local branch, and they cannot check on anything having to do with your SSN, except if your ID name and address matches their records. I dont think that there is anyway to tell if someone is using your SSN for working. But you could always look at your credit report and see the last listed job.

Doesn't Social Security send you an annual statement? I get one. If you do not get one, go to your local SS office and request an annual statement.
This statement gives you a wealth of information about you and your contributions, jobs, and entitlements.
