The most important thing to remember is to be consistent. Whatever consequences you give you MUST follow through with, even if it inconveniences you. When things get emotional sometimes you say things that you wish that you hadn't. Think of a couple of the behaviors that you want to work on the most and come up with workable consequences and post them so that she will know what to expect if she violates a rule. IE: if she does not clean her room no weekend activity. Be prepared for her to try you. You have to be prepared to change your plans if need be to follow through. Make sure to not offer other rewards if you feel guilty IE: ordering pizza or a special video. If you take the time to do it now she will know that you are serious and later, when bigger problems arise it will be easier on you.

It depends on what she is doing. If it is really sexual stuff or something like that, then you need to just maybe keep her inside and only let her go to the movies with her friends if you are there. Don't sit her down and talk to her because I know that I hate it when my mom does that to me. I'm 13 and my parents are pretty protective of me. Maybe just don't let her date or anything like that. If it's not a problem like that then I would say ground her from something that she really likes, um computer or the phone or something.

make the punishment fit the crime. Start out small, take away privileges, items and if all else fails, take everything from her but a simple pair of pants and a tea shirt, in her room, a simple bed and a mirror, for reflections.

Try grounding her or tell her to back off. Don't take anything away from her, because if she has a passion, That passion might calm her(ex: Music, she will listen to the music and settle down). I myself like to write and read, that calms me

well my mom use give me homework and not allow me to go out so when I asked she would say no and give me something to work on instead. That worked for me because I hated doing extra things

That's easy... No telephone...No television...No tell-a-friend
(that means no radio, no visiting, no video games, no internet, nada!)
Works especially well with the girls.
