I had a 30 on my ACT and knew plenty of people who hit higher. The best advice I can give is to take an ACT prep course. It raised my score about 6 points. Also, go online and find practice ACTs to take. The more tests you take, the more used to the format and their tricks you get. Another good thing to do might be to invest in a good study guide. I have found that the "... For Dummys" line is quite helpful.

Oh, and dont lose your calculator the night before the test. That was not fun... oye....

no idea.. I only made a 23, but several people I know have made in the 30's (and didn't have to worry about paying for college). The best thing I know is... several companies make the ACT prep books. Allow yourself time to prepare bc you can't cram and expect to do well. Also I would suggest taking it each time that it comes around, because it's not actually based on how many you get right or wrong, but instead how well you did compared to everyone else that took it that same day. Best of Luck!!

Just take it again. A vast majority of people raise their scores a second and third time. The more familiar you are with taking the test, the better you'll do (to a point).

There are also all kinds of test prep books. Don't study you're best areas, just do some light touching up on your worst.
