It's perfectly safe, the attendants will take care of them and they'll be fine.

I think some airlines, for an extra charge, can designate someone responsible for them, but since your sister is 18 they'll probably say 'no'.
I would think an 18 year-old would be responsible enough to make it safely, unless she's like drinking or something.
I would have been very offended if my parents didn't trust me enough to do something like this when I was 18.
You know your children better than I do, so good luck in your decision.
You're obviously a good, loving parent!

If the 18 year old has no mental disability. She needs to learn to be responsible. She is an adult now. Still let the airline know and they will take special care of both of them. If she can't be responsible for her brother than she needs to be treated like a child to prove she needs to grow up. But with the precautions in place I think it would be fine. I would send my 6 year old with her 10 brother in this situation.

Too young, especially if the 18 year old is childish. An accident waiting to happen.

Just have the grandparents come to your house because i am pretty sure that you would want to see them too. Unless you and your husband want alone time then just sent your kids and the grandparents to a amusment park for a day or two and just have them stay in a hotel with a swimming pool and let the kids invite a friend or two so they think your really kewl parents.

so is his father saying that if he was with an adult he could go? if you are saying that your sister is childish and she is taking a child on a plane than go to the airport with them, wait for the plane see that they get on(tell a flight attendent)- and do the same when they get to the grandparents.(while there on the plane they can't go nowhere tell the father to chill.)

i personally would not do it but I had a friend who sent her sons on a plane together at about age 4 and 6. The attendants were made aware of the situation and everything worked out fine.

The airlines may have some restrictions, but if your sister is 18 she is legally an adult. When you get to the ticket counter let the clerk know the circumstances. They take real good care of the kids.

You can get the stewardess of the flight to look after both of them. Call the airline in advance and make arrangements. I've seen young children traveling alone this way.

Airlines are usually great with young children, even if they are travelling alone - as long as they have been contacted WELL IN ADVANCE and made aware of any special circumstances. That's why people get special menus, wheelchairs waiting for them, assitance ect ect ect. Call them and ask - or better still get his father to speak to them.

Usually airlines will sit younger children traveling alone back by the sterwardes. Call the airline and find out what their policy on children traveling without adult supervision is. Good luck!
