Sulfa allergy?

I'm allergic to sulfa drugs, does that have anything to do with me having an allergic reaction to certain types of alcohol like rum and wine coolers??

I'm also allergic to drugs with sulfa in them. I can't even use antibiotic creams with sulfa. But I can drink alcohol. It's possible that the alcohol you react to may have sulfa-related compounds in it. It could also be something totally different that you're allergic to. The only way to find out is to get a list of the ingredients.
