my son is 8 months old, but people have told me that kids learn to talk at 7 months when they are genius, or read at the age of 3 years old, are there better way to know this????

sorry to burst your bubble, but the "people" who have given you this information are mistaken. Children develop at different rates when it comes to walking/talking/communication/development. It has nothing to do with "genius" status or not.
Don't be so quick to want your child to be a "genius"...most who are actually are only masterful in one area, and it is due to developmental problems...not superiority.
Let your baby be a baby....

Well, wait until your child is older to assess him. All parents are proud of their kids and think they're more advanced than others, but you really can't tell until they're older if they really are. Talking at 7 months isn't all that uncommon, by the way, and an unreliable way to determine if your kid's a genius.

If there are already signs that he is developing faster then other babies his age then it is time to talk to his pediatrician about further testing. There are a number of ways to find out where your child is developmentaly.
