Is there a positive side to Illegal immigration?

Yes, there is. After America becomes a third world country, illegal immigrants will want to go somewhere else. So there is an abstract bright side.

WRONG! In Michigan Illegals get food stamps, welfare and a multitude of other government give away programs.

SUPER WRONG!!! Hundreds of emergency rooms around the country have gone bankrupt because of illegal aliens. Hospitals by law must give medical treatment to everyone.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS CHEAP LABOR! We pay for it one way or the other.

Thank you Jeff C. Apparently people on answers either didn't pay attention in economics class, or just don't care. First thing my econ teacher taught the class was NOTHING is free. Nothing. Even if it is given to you. Everything costs something.

I COULD go through your little diatribe, and pick it apart piece by piece, and point out how utterly stupid and ignorant to the issue at hand you are, but I will not waste my time. Anything is possible in the realm of infinite possibilities in which we live, but if I was a betting man, I would wager that there is now way in hell you are smarter than I am.

Illegal aliens work their buts off also. They do not extend their hands an ask for assistance. They get paid less than minimum wage, they get locked in warehouses and made to work over time without overtime pay. They do not have health insurance, they do not collect unemployment. When they get sick they do not go to the Hospital for fear they will be sent back to their countries where they can FEED their kids because there's no jobs. I wish you never have to suffer hunger and poverty although maybe then you would realize why a father does everything he can to help his family.

I'm sick of hearing how illegals only do the crappy jobs no one else wants,this is a crock of $hit,they steal social security numbers to get jobs that americans are also doing,there are 11 to 12 million illegals in this country,only a portion of those are doing crappy jobs,illegals not only taking good jobs that americans need but actually are getting in their own illegal family and friends,once they are in.And to your question,there is no positive side,because in the end,we will end up paying in taxes for the entitlements that they are getting in welfare,health care and schooling,not to mention the housing of so many illegals in our prisons

Not that it's right by any means, but these illegal immigrants work a lot of crappy jobs that a lot of American citizens do not want to work. They keep farmers labor costs down and therefore cost of product down. This is the only "positive" that I can really get from illegal imigrants.

But serioiusly, there is nothing wrong with orderly immigration ... it is the people who come here, knowing they are breaking the law of the land, and now shouting for amnesty, that's the problem ... I mean, name ANY country where you are allowed to go in and out at will without a passport or some form of identification ...

Well,thanks for answering your own question.But,my theory,illegals spend money here--where do their new cars and homes come from?Every week they buy groceries and pay bills.And no matter what social security # is used,or tax id#,those companies take taxes out of the money they make.AND,those ppl can't even recieve government assistance so they can't recieve any of the money pay out to taxes.So,if they are putting money into the economy,then yeah theres a positive side.***buh***Rape your women?Do you not have a brain?Most of the united states pedophiles and rapists are white men.Look it up,it's true.

the only positive is for the employers of illegals who are cashing in on all the money they are saving from the slave wages they pay to them below min. wage plus employers save money on the workmans comp that they don't have to fork out.

wow, the average american really IS stupid. illegal immigration=cheap labor=greater economic efficiency= lower prices and lowered inflation. furthermore, they have to spend money somewhere, which entails increased consumption for american companies. its pretty simply people. furthermore, stats show that they use less of the welfare state than average americans. complaints against immigration, despite what people will say, are really about whites being scared to deat hof becoming a minority. there, i said it. im smarter than you.
