Like I don't want to talk to a guy unless he has a steady job, and can afford to take me out without me paying, has a car and license, isn't a party guy, likes kids and my family. Oh and having his own place. My past guys would live with others, lie and say they pay money to them, never had a car, hated my family, couldnt keep a job for longer than 2 months, and cheated a lot. Am I a mean person or am I just looking out for myself??

demand respect! demand respect! demand respect!
I can't say it enough!
If you demand respect, and he gives it to you, then chances are he respects himself. If he respects himself then "most" of the chips will fall into place!
No, this doesn't make you a bad person! It makes you a person who is looking out for the best interests of yourself and your kids!
Hang in there cutie! There are some good ones out there!

i imagine that's impressive that you're taking the time to assist your little sister. That on my own is superb. that is quite considerable to assist little sisters (and brothers). i'm able to't imagine how the instructor graded the paper with a D except there have been guidelines set up for the project that were thoroughly ignored! i'm effective your mom and father already understand this, yet you could continuously recommend that they ask for the guidelines to make sure in case your sister observed them. they could be able to then argue that the D replaced into way lower than what grade could were earned. sturdy success!

Looks to me like you are finally starting to get healthy emotionally and making healthier choices. High standards don't make you a bad person, just a wise one. There is nothing wrong with looking out for yourself and who wants to be with someone you will have to take care of financially or even someone who hates your family?

HELL NO!!! UR DOING EXACTLY WHAT YOU SHOULD BE DOING. YOU HAVE TO SET STANDARDS FOR YOURSELF BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T YOU WILL KEEP ON ATTRACTING THE LOSERS THAT U USE TO ATTRACT. JUST ONE THING: WHEN YOU HAVE STANDARDS FOR YOURSELF, YOU CAN'T REALLY EXPECT FOR A GUY TO HAVE EVERYTHING YOUR LOOKING FOR. HE MAY GET ALONG WITH YOUR FAMILY AND HAVE A STABLE JOB BUT DOESN'T HAVE A LICENSE. YOU HAVE TO COMPROMISE. OUT OF ALL THE THINGS THAT U WANT IN A MAN, CHOOSE THREE THAT U NEED!!! UR NEEDS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR WANTS!!!

Learning from your mistakes never makes you a bad person. It only makes you a smarter, wiser one. Some girls never learn and not only repeat their poor choices over and over and over, but also end up worse off in the long run.
Some guys are just poison. You may survive one dose, even two, but eventually it will take your life.

That is wonderful. I got to give you your props. It's about time that I read questions from some strong women who know what they want in life and take a stand. Keep on moving in the path that your moving in and you'll get everything that you want in a man.

Nope. You're just wiser than you used to be. It doesn't sound like your being a gold digger or have unrealistically high expectations. You just want someone who is responsible, respectful and into you. Nothing at all wrong with that.

A GIRL AFTER MY OWN HEART!!!!!!
well done for having standards! they way i see it, if you settle for anything, you get anything! there is nothing wrong with having standards and knowing what you want. it makes it easier to find the 'perfect guy'.
believe it or not, guys will actually respect and appreciate you more because of it. remember, take no sh*t and keep doing what your doing!
