Most Muslims say that the Quran has never been altered. However, I two statements from early Muslims that claim that teh Quran has been altered:

- The first is from Aisha, the prophet's wife, who said that there were two verses from Quran (one of them sets the punishment for adultery) that were kept under her bed but teh chicken ate them and this is why they were not included in Quran.

- The first statement is from a companion to prophet Muhammed (Abu Mossa) who said that there were at least two more chapters from Quran that were not included in its final version.

Does anyone have any more information about that?

The Quran preservation is beyond doubts, it is as evident as the sun and new data and proofs are emerging that each letter is exactly in its place and if you add or delete a letter the whole structure will change. It is to mention in this regard the miracle of the chapter 57 (The Iron) and notice that Iron was mentioned in verse number 26 (iron atomic weight is 55-59, and atomic number is 26). In this same verse there is a mention of signs of messengers, the balance or the scale, and the fact that iron sent down from space to earth, as our solar system can't produce iron by it self. It is also strange to notice that the word Hadid (which means iron in Arabic) equals by calculation 26, and the word AlHadid (which means the iron) equals 57. I know it may be difficult for non Arab to understand this but this is a great miracle.

Where are your references for these ahadeeth(narrations from the Prophet sws and his companions)?

If you dont site the narration(who narrated it and how authentic they are), as far as Im concerned anyone could be making it up.

There was a consensus amongst the companions and the first generations of Muslims that nothing in the Qur'an as been altered and will ever be.

Rationally also, the Qur'an is of level of mutawaatir(undeniably authentic) status in narration, because of the amount of people that narrated every text, so that it couldnt have been changed, or forged in any way.

Firstly I would say if you are gonna make statements such as this you need proof of where we can find it by way of the books in which you got it from and Qur'an supporting that claim. Secondly the Qur'an has never be altered which is why the Arabic never leaves (on the right side of the page is Arabic and on the left side is the translation of whatever language the Qur'an is in for example English, Spanish, French, etc.) in Qur'an their are Translations for different language as everyone doesn't speak or read Arabic such as myself and it is encouraged that we learn Arabic.
In short when dealing with Muslim's you have to come with proof of you claim and without a doubt we definitely have no problems in refuting your claims (with the help of Allaah).

In the haadith that you mentioned I was not able to find it however I found one the would refute the claim of the Qur'an being altered

A'ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, reported:
Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) recited (these verses of the Qur'an): It is He Who has sent down to you (Muhammad SAW) the Book (this Qur'ân). In it are Verses that are entirely clear, they are the foundations of the Book (and those are the Verses of Al-Ahkâm (commandments, etc), Al-Farâ'id (obligatory duties) and Al-Hudud (legal laws for the punishment of thieves, adulterers, etc)); and others not entirely clear So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the truth) they follow that which is not entirely clear thereof, seeking Al-Fitnah (polytheism and trials, etc), and seeking for its hidden meanings, but none knows its hidden meanings save Allâh. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in it; the whole of it (clear and unclear Verses) are from our Lord". And none receive admonition except men of understanding 'A'ishah (further) reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said (in connection with these verses): When you see those who go after allegorical verses, avoid them, for it is they whom Allah has pointed out (in the above-mentioned verse).

So in short the Qur'an has not been altered and when Aa'ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) mention this verse the meaning is that some parts of the Qur'an may say "Alif laam meem" these letters mean only Allaah knows there meaning as we don't that is not to misunderstand that the Qur'an has been altered it means only that what is hidden from us only Allaah alone knows about. With reguards to you other question, I was unsuccessful in finding it and the links you listed where in Arabic and some of us are not learned in Arab. When Aa'ishah mentioned the only the knowledgeable people who understand the Qur'an she spoke of the Schools of Islaam (the Ulamaa) so if we don't understand something we refer our matter to the Ulamaa and not from our desires. So in the future the site in which you have listed in your post should you have any questions than refer them to the Ulamaa and that site is one in which I read and take from. I will also list the below...

By the way if you are interested in Islaam you should not offend the Muslim's we have no problem with helping you understand Islaam or answer your questions if we are able and if we are not then we would refer you to the Scholars of Islaam. I read some of your posts, let's just say you have the wrong ideal of Islaam instead you and others create lies or you make fun rather than actually learning about Islaam while only Allaah knows the hearts, your intentions seem very different.

I am not a muslum, but I also do know that the Koran has been altered from a monotheistic faith to a polytheistic belief.
