... That you haven't seen for years, he/she is with their current partner, you wasn't amicable when you broke up.
Do you:
a) Ignore him/her, that was in the past and you parted on bad terms so what's the point in acknowledging them?
b) Say 'hello, how are you'? To be polite, why let the past reflect the present?
c) Ignore him/her because they are with their current partner and you don't want to cause any embarrassment to either party due to your status as the 'ex'
d) Put on a really sickly sweet and smug face, walk up to the ex with new partner and say 'hi, how are you'?! ... Turn your attention swiftly to the new partner and then add ... 'obviously not that good'!!! (ha,ha,ha!!!)
What would you do?

A is the best option. (You have absolutely nothing to prove to them, and have no real interest in making them feel uncomfortable or sad to lose you. They can see what they're missing without speaking to you).
Otherwise you'll look like a bitter try-hard loser! If there's to be a conversation, then let them have to make the first approach, then move to option B.

Brag my head off, about how well i'm doing... brag about the things my new girl can do, and she can't... brag about everything that she really does not want too hear...
I can get under someones skin... i'd make sure that i wasn't being bothered by her again... RESULT!
But i'd do it in such a nice way!
But then if she had done nothing wrong and it was me doing the walking... i'd fully expect to get this in return...
or i'd be really amicable... lend me a fiver... soon would leave me alone!

He became upset which you probably did no longer observe him....ego situation. you in all likelihood meant to no longer communicate to harm him, an identical with no longer replying to the text fabric suitable away...You waited till Monday to respond back and he spoke back with the full female buddy situation to harm you. You asked 'became it mandatory for him to respond with that"...sure, because of the fact he wanted to get to you and it labored. You the two nonetheless have thoughts on account which you dated and that's frequently continually going to be there. do no longer spend from now on time annoying approximately it. And certainly, the proper thank you to get to an ex is confer with them such as you on no account dated. I even have an ex who cheated on me-we've been at the same time 5 years and it additionally ended kinda undesirable. as quickly as I see him, I handle him like he's purely all and sundry else. Indifference is great!!!

F. React honestly, which would probably look lilke a mixture of sadness, regret and surprise. Quickly think of ways to remain neutral in any encounter that may ensue and then plot an exit strategy that doesn't look like running away.

My answer is (B), say hello to be polite and then move on. If your Ex turns and tries to call you back to have more conversation----this will be so she can show off her new beau---just wave your hand and say, "Oh, sorry, I have an appointment. Take care!"

I'd do "B" definately. That shows your ex that you are no longer bothered about the past and have moved on!

Depends on the type of 'bump'. Just passing in the street, keep on walking.
