Why is it Mexico is not helping us out with troops of their on,on the war of torror in Iraq. In Afghanistan Mexico sending peace keepers there? NOPE.Yet when there is talk about immigration Mexico continues telling us what a great neighbour we have there. I can't see Mexico has done it's part in being that wonderful neighbour we hear about over and over again. When you indicate illegal alien Mexico suddenly is our great neighbour. Say war on terror help . Who is the only answer Mexico has!

Iraq is understandable. Afghanistan is a whole different matter it's about America being attack on 9-11 consider this.They export their poorest, neediest citizens (at no cost to themselves) and sit back to wait for the free income to flow. No wonder Mexico feels the need to ease their citizens’ illegal entry into America by providing handbooks and maps - it has a direct impact on their economy! What other income-producing activity could they undergo that would require no construction, no training, no law enforcement, and no responsibilities whatsoever to their citizens? Why would they want to curb a free and very lucrative income? The illegality of it bears no consequences or costs, so the Mexican government has no incentive to fix a system that works wonders for them!

Mexico has been and still is a very poor nation with a minority holding most of the wealth and many living in poverty.....wholla...that is why we have so many of their citizens trying to get into the US.
I seriously doubt that they have the troops or money to send help to Iraq or would their wealthy want to use the money to support such and action.

2. Because mexico hasnt meddled in the affairs of the middle east, supporting israel, waging war on islam. Mexico is not a target of middle eastern terroism.
What we need to do is catch the illegals as the come across the border, give them weapons and training and send to Iraq to fight. We could tell them that by fight "terror" for 5 years they would now be in line to apply to qualify for american citizenship.
They'e be the perfect christian warriors since they are almost 90% catholic. President Bush could just convince them the same way he's conviced the other religious conservatives that islam is a threat to the "american dream" and if "Terror" wins they wont be able to make a new life in america.
Just before the 5 year period is up we'd renege in typical american fashion take up the guns and send em back to where they came from.

Is that true?
As for your question, why should they do anything? We are responsible for them financially. They want our land for free and our leaders are too happy to give it to them right now.

For several reasons:
1-They don't know how to fight. Mexico has never won an armed conflict.
2-Their military is too busy escorting drug smugglers across our borders.
3-Do they even have a viable military?
4-Would we even want their help (see #1 above).
5-If they do have a military, is it even big enough to be of use?
6-If they do have a military how would they get there? They can't sneak across that border...
