I am filing for Canadian residency, and I would like to obtain a work permit. I do not have a job offer as of yet.

I would have to disagree with the marrying a Canadian girl, my husband is from the US and just because we are married doesn't mean you can get a work visa. Visit the website they listed that is your best bet. Marriage doesn't get you a work visa

one way is to marry a canadian girl another is to get permanent residence you can visit cic.gc.ca for more info good luck
