I was joking around with my girlfriend about marriage and all types of stuff that married people do and she said “I don’t have an engagement ring. You haven’t even proposed yet." Should I take this serious or was it a joke?

We were layin around and talkin about family and having one and the subject of marriage came up.

Just remember girls take stuff like that more seriously than guys do. Talk to her about it.

take it seriously, don't talk about marriage until you have purposed. Cause if you and her agree that you want to get married. It takes away from the engagement. Just keep it quiet and when you are ready, get down on that knee. And purpose. Then talk about marriage.

Talking about marriage with no intentions of getting married is a big no-no.
Girls have dreams and emotions you know....so don't disturb the bee hive unless you are serious about matrimony.

It depends on the girl...most take this kind of stuff alittle more serious then guys tend to do. Its good you are talking about this kind of stuff just do it hypnotically.

a little more info would help because w/o knowing her or being in the situation it's a little hard to answer but i'm guessing if she knew you were joking that she was joking too
