It could be that that person is afraid of commitment like most men are nowadays or it could mean that they want to take things slow even though they do not want to lose you since they do feel genuine feelings of love for you, so hold on time will tell in this case!!!

It depends on alot of things. Have you been together very long and do you have children??
If you have kids they are probably gonna love you just for that (having their kid)
It also depends on if by love you mean ... as in "I love sleeping with you but I don't want to be your boyfriend?" you might ask yourself if you are being used.
Some people are better in relationships that way, they love someone and want them in their life but don't want to give up their freedom. It is natural, especially for men, to think that something better might come along, but that is usually if they aren't happy in a relationship.
And if you are pushing for marriage and you aren't pregnant and your bio-time clock isn't ticking.....don't push. Enjoy your life as a single person and when that time comes you won't be asking these questions because the person that wants to marry you will just want it without a doubt in your mind!!

it means one of four things: They are using you, They like you, but there is someone else, they are to nice and don't want to break it off, or they really like you and want to take it slow. in my experince, it's generally one of the first 2, but maybe you got lucky.
